Dieu Pham is an accomplished Vietnamese-American television producer with nearly two decades of experience, specializing in unscripted, non-fiction hits. Born in Seattle and raised by refugee parents from South Vietnam, Dieu’s humble beginnings were shaped by her family’s hard work and perseverance. Afternoons spent reading and watching educational TV with her siblings sparked her love for learning and a dream to be part of that world.
Her passion for producing began in high school when she organized an annual talent show and volunteered after school for Seattle Public Schools TV. She went on to earn a double major in Broadcast News & Production with a minor in Anthropology from the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University. After college, she interned at ABC-Affiliate KOMO-TV and contributed to Hip-Hop 101, a public access show with friends. Following her heart—and with the support of friends and connections—she made her way to Los Angeles, where she found her roots and a second family at Creative Differences TV, a company she credits for shaping her growth and success.
Her career flourished at Creative Differences TV, where she researched diverse topics and produced projects covering pivotal subject matters like WWII, JFK, 9/11, and animal welfare. Notably, she contributed to Into the Abyss, a Werner Herzog-directed death row documentary, and Blood Dolphins, inspired by The Cove. These experiences deepened her passion for educational non-fiction content.
Throughout her career, Dieu has been part of teams producing some of TV’s most successful unscripted non-fiction series, including Snapped for Oxygen, Swamp People on the History Channel, and Homestead Rescue for Discovery. She’s worked alongside industry icons like WWE superstar Steve Austin, Morgan Freeman, and Werner Herzog, helping to bring engaging and thought-provoking stories to life.
Los Angeles, California, is her home base, where Dieu enjoys the peaceful and quaint mountains in Sylmar as a retreat from the fast-paced world of television production. Known for being a fun, adventurous nerd, and a bit of a wild oddball, she embraces her eccentricity with pride. Always full of curiosity, she stays active both physically and mentally, always striving for a positive, optimal life. Her love for connecting with people and her curiosity for knowledge fuels her passion for producing. She is always ready for the next adventure.
